The Benefits of Love Languages

Is one of your goals this year to better yourself or your relationship with others? If so, you're in luck! One of the best ways to better both yourself and your relationship with others is by learning your love language.

Love languages teach you how you like to receive love from others and express your love to others. Dr. Gary Chapman, best-selling author of The 5 Love Languages®, identifies five primary love languages that people can have:

  • Acts of Service

  • Receiving Gifts

  • Quality Time

  • Words of Affirmation

  • Physical Touch

Knowing your love language helps you tell others how you want to be loved. That way, when they show up for you, it's in a way that you can receive it.

Often, love languages are not the same, so it's also a tool you can use to grow your ability to love others and how they like to receive and give love.

It's also important to note that love languages change over time. Even if you have completed a love language assessment in the past, we encourage you to reassess it and see if anything has changed. You can take the 5 Love Languages Assessment for FREE here.

We hope you will use this tool to meet one or both of your relationship goals this year!
